What it is
A bridge replaces a missing tooth with a false one held in place by crowns on the neighbouring teeth.
It stays fixed — you don't take it out. Because the neighbouring teeth are shaped to hold the crowns, your dentist will check they are healthy and strong enough, and compare a bridge with dentures so you can choose.
